Kay`s Dairy Bar in Westminster

Two of my friends and I went to Kay's today. I got the Fried Lobster chunks with Onion Rings. The Onion rings were great, the Lobster Chunks were a little too chewy for my taste. I prefer the Fried Lobster chunks from SS. Different taste even though owned by same company. Go figure. Wouldn't rush to come back to Kays.

One of the best lobster rolls I've tried. Their sweet potato fries are absurdly craveable. Try their cherry ice cream!!

Parking lot was full. Service took almost an hour. Food was cold. Onion rings were over cooked. Clams over cooked. Fries were cold, scallops were cooked fine but cold. Totally Disappointed. We tossed most of the $40.00 meals away. And they make you sit in your vehicle. We were sitting by our car smoking cigarettes and talking with another customer. They started yelling over the intercom. Unbelievable. I don't and won't be recommending this place.

Ooo..early day and early In the season.. Not at all what was anticipated or hoped for. Breading was flavorless..Lobsta was overcooked..fries were not cooked well and very bland. I am good with no salt ..but absolutely none?? Nnope. Scallops were a tad mushy in the center..WHOLE CLAMS WERE AWESOME..thank you for that. Unhappy haddock..bland.oily..not pleased at all..Sweet Tea was neither cold or refreshing..like warm..Service was great..everyone was very nice and efficient while remaining engaging and personable..

Always growing up I would come here for ice cream and food. Now as an adult, my husband and I take our daughter here to eat and get ice cream for a treat! Their food is always good and their grounds are clean. The staff is friendly and we love their ice cream! Definitely reccomend them

Food is "passable." Got fish in my chicken dish. Waited 45 minutes on a 20-25 minute order. Didn't have everything I ordered until I asked for it before I left. Ordered a hot dog with condiments. No condiments came with it.

It was very nice , especially now where you can't go into restaurants, Picknick benches all around , some shade and some sunnier , the food was good and plenty for a good price

Great food great prices superfresh an amazing to be honest... Have tried many items on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet! Ice cream is also extremely good and good portions for the price! You can feed your family there cheaper than McDonald's and have a much better burger and fries!I went there for the first time this summer and they've got a customer for life they continue to be this good!

I believe that their connected to S&S seafood. That said of course it's good. S&S is the best. So in the summer this place is a nice place to get similar food with a lot of outdoor seating.

I'm not excited, I been going to keys my whole life, they are now owned by God knows who. I waited an hour for my call in food which was old cold and cost twice as much as it should. 8 scallops is really not a dinner Worth 21.00 ... I'm done there...

Called my order in - was told food would be ready in 25 to 30 minutes. Arrived at 30 minutes and was told another 15 to 20 minutes. Finally got my food an hour later. Was not worth the wait. Scallops were tasteless . Onion rings were undercooked. They wanted to charge me for an extra starter sauce, REALLY. Not going back!

Use to be great. Not sure if it is the new owners or the mostly younger staff but things are not the same. Called ahead was told an hour an a half. Got there at 2 hours after my last experience and still waited another 30 minutes. 2.5 hours is absurd for any fast food chain. And let's be clear it is fast food. Lack of signs to direct people that called ahead caused confusion for many guests where to go. Never waiting for that length again they are not the only game around.

Great food and ice cream people are still having a hard time adjusting to wearing the masks and you can tell the employees are getting sick of telling people to wear masks to service them

Lobster roll was amazing! Service was fantastic and prices were reasonable. We loved every bite. The only disappointment was they didn't provide drink refills. $3 for a large drink without a refill was a bit of a letdown. I would still go back for another meal!

I have spent lots of money at Kay's and today was disappointing. My fried food was over cooked and then served cold. I know we are supposed to have patience but this was kind of absurd that it would even be served to me. Hope things go back to how they were soon

Love Kay's. They are owned by S & S Lobster in Fitchburg. You can sit outside and eat. They even have tables underneath a Pavilion that's connected to the building. I go there all the time with my daughter and she always gets shrimp and I always get the whole clams, they are delicious. We bring our own drinks.

This is the place for great fried seafood & ice cream! Fair prices, good portions. Roofed porch or on the lawn picnic tables seating.Get the Double Stuffed Lobster Roll!👍

The best soft serve mmmmm

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with our meal. We ordered to haddock dinners with onion rings. We got beat up onion rings that no longer had batter on them and we got to 4" pieces of haddich tail ends $24 extremely disappointed. You would think after all the people of been through in the last 2 months that they would want to satisfy their customers they just lost 2 of them

We waited 1 hour for a hotdog...Go to Westminster cafe seafood icecream fast cheap...

The food is always so amazing! Especially the lobster rolls and the first one of the season is always the best. It's so nice to be able to sit outside and eat in the sunshine. The ice cream is awesome too. We love when Johanna is working because she always makes us smile! If you pass by...you should definitely stop in!🍦🍤😋

Fantastic and friendly service. Great prices and food too, but the Ice Cream? Is the best! Definitely worth a visit, if you are close. Rock On, Kay's Fairy Bar!

My husband and I decided that being it's finally a nice day out we would go for a ride to Kay's and share a seafood platter. The worker handed me a ticket and said 45min-1 hr. Ok we decide that we would wait. 2 hrs later and still our number has not been called. 1 seafood plate 2 hours. But I'll have you know that a friend of my husband placed an order 5 ppl behind us. It was quite a large order and he got his and left long before we got our 1 SEAFOOD PLATER. And when we got it the amount of food for the price and the time I waited sucked

The fried seafood is great but the sides are terrible. If you get anything besides fries or onion rings be prepared for disappointment.

Fresh delicious seafood. Quick and friendly service too! The outdoor eating area was very clean and spacious. Definitely going back very soon.

Stopped to get ice cream. Ordered a large butter pecan cone with chocolate sprinkles. When my order came up they called it out and said "larger butter pacan?! It was supposed to be on a cone but it didnt work out" and i got the ice cream in a cup with the broken cone placed on top without spinkles. Usually places would just make you a new one. When they asked if i still wanted sprinkles i asked if i could just get it remade or get something different they told me " we cant put the ice cream back, cant we just put the sprinkles on and you take it?" Instead of making it right. So i just left. Highly unimpressed with their customer service.

First time doing takeout since Covid, what a huge disappointment. Got the haddock chucks, it was more like old haddock fillets cut up. Tough dry fish & some just hard fried batter no fish. Below Kay's standards from last year. Will not go back.

Generous portion of fish, friendly staff , clean restrooms, picnic dining outside in sun or shade. Nice place.

Awsom food but theres no one out side keeping people in order there standing every were no line and no one knows who orders next and then it took me 25 min to get a cheese burger they need some one in charge there who has a client as to run the place its kids trying to run the place

All around good place to have a mix of food choices. Burgers, hot dogs, and seafood. And if you want to cool yourself down with a couple scoops of ice cream put in your order. I'll recommend people to go there and try it out. The service was fast and the food was good.

Staff and most patrons wore masks. Called ahead and their estimated wait time was about right. Food was fine, apparently the Haddock and Cole slaw were especially good (I was told, that's not what I had). Service was friendly, but it was tough to get through on the phone when I called. (Totally expected since it was 4:45 pm on a warm and sunny Friday evening)

Great seafood at reasonable price. The lobster roll was generous in size and delicious. Fried calamari and oysters were very good. Cook just right and light on breading.

Good ice cream, food is pretty good, but somewhat pricey.
